2019 Food Establishment Permits Expire December 31, 2019

Dear Food Establishment Owner,

It is time to renew your food establishment permit to ensure your food permit remains compliant for the 2020 permit period. Your 2019 food establishment permit will expire on December 31, 2019.

For the 2020 food establishment permit renewal cycle, the department has added the ability to become permitted as a Hemp Food Establishment. If you are, or anticipate selling food products containing hemp extract, which includes CBD and other cannabinoids, you should select yes to the hemp extract question.

Please visit the below website to renew your food establishment permit(s) today. Step by step instructions are located on the website. The renewal fee amount and any outstanding fees must be paid in full prior to the department issuing a food establishment permit.

Please Note: Operating a food establishment after December 31, 2019, without a valid permit is a violation of Chapter 500, Florida Statutes, and Rule 5K-4, Florida Administrative Code, and is punishable by a fine of up to $5,000, and/or the closure of your business.
