TALLAHASSEE - The Florida Retail Federation (FRF) today announced it is endorsing Paul Renner for the Florida House of Representatives District 24. FRF issues its endorsements based on candidate interviews and a review of their positions on issues of importance to Florida retailers and the state business climate.

Renner served 23 years in the US Navy. He is an attorney and partner at Milam Howard Nicandri Dees and Gillam, P.A., where he represents many businesses. He is active in the Northeast Florida community and participates in a number of civic and professional organizations.

District 24 includes Flagler County and parts of St. Johns and Volusia counties. Travis Hutson resigned House District 24 to campaign for former state Sen. John Thrasher’s Senate District 6 after he left to become Florida State University president.

The HD 24 GOP special primary is Jan. 27, with the general election on April 7.

Florida Retail Federation endorses Mike Davis for the Special Election for the Florida House

TALLAHASSEE - The Florida Retail Federation (FRF) today announced it is endorsing Mike Davis for the Florida House of Representatives. FRF issues its endorsements based on candidate interviews and a review of their positions on issues of importance to Florida retailers and the state business climate.

Ponte Vedra Beach Republican state Rep. Ron “Doc” Renuart currently represents District 17, which covers St. Augustine up to the southern border of Duval County. Renuart is resigning the seat to campaign for former state Sen. John Thrasher’s Senate District 6 after he left to become Florida State University president.

The HD 17 GOP special primary is Jan. 27, with the general election on April 7.
