The Florida Grocery Council of the Florida Retail Federation represents the major grocery chains operating in Florida along with hundreds of smaller independent chains and stores. John Rogers is very active in lobbying on behalf of grocery retailers, and representing them in the regulatory process. The Council works to keep its members aware of legislative issues and events affecting the success of the retail grocery industry.
The Florida Retail Federation is the leading advocate for food and grocery retailers at the Florida Capitol and an influential voice with legislative and regulatory agencies. FRF works for its members year-round to reduce taxes, fight over-regulation, and promote business-friendly policies. Members receive regular communications with our Team Retail legislative alerts, and up-to-date information on important changes in Florida law and regulation. FRF also provides member discounts on current educational and compliance training and materials for food retailers, including online courses in food safety and loss prevention.
