2011 RBC Educational Seminar & Trade Show
Tallahassee Regulatory Update: On Monday, August 29th the Division of Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco will hold a workshop on Pool Buying Administrative Rules. RBC’s position is to promulgate rules that are fair to all segments of the Industry affected by pool buying. We will provide an update following the workshop.
As a result of increases in population, the state of Florida, Department of Business Regulation, Division of Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco, will be accepting entry forms for inclusion in the drawing for new quota liquor licenses. ABT will accept Quota License Drawing Entry Forms for 45 days beginning the third Monday in August. This year entry forms will be accepted from August 15, 2011 until 5:00 p.m. on September 28, 2011. The Division must receive all entry forms before this deadline. There will be no exceptions. Mail the completed form, including payment (check or money order made payable to the Division), to: Division of Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco, Attention: Quota License Drawing, 1940 North Monroe Street, Tallahassee, Florida 32309-1021. The following is a breakdown of the number of licenses available in each county: Alachua (2); Clay (1); Columbia (3), Dade (4); Duval (1); Escambia (1); Hernando (1); Hillsborough (4); Lake (1); Leon (1); Manatee (1); Orange (4); Palm Beach (5); Pasco (2); Polk (5); St. Johns (1) and St. Lucie (1).
