Mark your calendar and register today for the Florida Retail Federation's Mid-Year Meeting, scheduled for June 20-21 at the Caribe Royale Resort in Orlando. As in the past, this meeting will be held in conjunction with the University of Florida’s Retailing Smarter Symposium on June 21-22 also at the Caribe Royale. Retailing Smarter Symposium 2012 is an executive continuing education conference specifically designed for retailers. A group of senior retail executives from leading firms are assembled to focus on topics of strategic importance to retailers. Florida Retail Federation members receive a discounted registration fee!

As we have done for the past several years, the FRF’s Retailer of the Year Awards will be presented during this year’s Symposium at the Luncheon on Thursday, June 21. Retail Days at the Capitol

Mark your calendars for the Florida Retail Federation’s Retail Days at the Capitol and Board Meeting February 21-23 at Hotel Duval in Tallahassee. There will be separate Chairman’s Circle, Human Resources, Sustainability Council, Real Estate, Grocery/Pharmacy, and Tourism Meetings. Please check the agenda and make your plans accordingly.

On Monday, February 21, we begin with meetings of FRF’s various councils, starting at 1pm. Tuesday starts with a working breakfast and Legislative Briefing followed by meetings with the Governor, Cabinet and Legislators at the Capitol. Lunch will be held at the Duval followed by the Board of Directors Meeting. That evening, we will have a reception/dinner on the beautiful Level 8 of the Hotel Duval with a guest speaker.

The Retail Masters class will also be meeting during this time. There will be several joint events with them. And, on Wednesday morning, Retail Days concludes with a meeting of FRF’s Human Resources Council starting at 9:00 am. Please make your hotel reservations and return your registration form no later than January 14. We are looking forward to seeing you in Tallahassee in February.
